With three round-robin games under their skates over the first two days, Tweed finished second in the six team C Division.
Facing the Kawartha Coyotes in the semi-finals, the Hawks found themselves tied 2-2 late in the game. The U21’s never-give-up attitude and team confidence in each other to keep pressing, paid off when Isaac Brown scored the game winner with 22 seconds left .
Nate Cannons backed the team up in net in the semi-final win.
Day 3 is the day all teams want to play — the finals of the International Silver Stick Championships.
Tweed was paired up with their EOMHL rivals, the Norwood Hornets. This was an important rematch in the tournament to see who would become the 2023 Champions.
